how to backup the exchange 2K3 server daily in the best way?<br>

Well I use the ntbackup to do full backup everyday & use the ontrack powercontrols v2.1 to restore. But the problem is the Business edition of the powercontrols can open 250 mailboxes only. <br>
<br>
or I can use the recovery storeage group to restore. But I think it's not a good idea to use the production server to do such operation.<br>

so, any good idea?

使用Window和Exchange的常规备份方式就好了（参考微软件的KB258243 <A HREF="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;zh-cn;258243&Product=exch2k" TARGET=_blank>http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;zh-cn;258243&Product=exch2k</A>）。或是使用第三方原备份软件进行。

I know the built-in NTBACKUP is a very good tool to backup the Exchange server. <br>
<br>
But the problem is: it's very time consuming to restore the whole mail store to recover a single mailbox (or even a single email)<br>
<br>
Using a third party backup software to backup the brick level is also very very time consuming. Usually it's not possible to backup all user's mailbox in a daily backup job.<br>
<br>
That's why I think the software "Ontrack powercontrols" is so powerful. I don't have to do the restore job on the Exchange server, just copy the backup to a workstation & extract the mail I want to restore.<br>
<br>
If we got the enterpeise version of "Ontrack powercontrols" (no mailbox limit), we can say good bye to the brick level backup.<br>

单邮箱还原在EX2K的备份方式中确实无法实现,但是已经有第三方备份软件可以实现这个功能了.比如VERITAS NetBackup和ARC..,Ontrack powercontrols的企业无限制版我确实无法帮到你了,你找到后可以把方法和大家分享一下,谢谢.

& there's a software called "ExchangeServerRecovery 2.7" can open large EDB files, but the output is poor. It converts the EDB to multiple PST files & the output format is plain text...<br>
